JoelStarr

On a sadder note, an aquiantance of mine, Joel Starr, whom I have known since the 5th grade, has recently passed away. He died in Brazil.

Joel was in the coffee business, but had many many other talents...Dj...videographer, great friend...... He was an amazing guy; creative, smart, compassionate, and had the warmest, most real smile.

Rest In Peace, Joel.

Oliver Arts Center, Tecoah Bruce Gallery (Oakland Campus)

California College of the Arts
5212 Broadway (at College Ave.),

The exhibition was juried by Julie Joyce, Gallery Director of the Luckman Fine Arts Complex at CSU Los Angeles, and Jo Lauria, former Decorative Arts Curator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and curator of PBS Television's Craft in America exhibition.

Stephanie still refers to the college as “The California College of Arts and Crafts,” (the name by which it was known when she graduated in BFA in 1998” but she is ecstatic to have work back in Oakland, CA. She wishes she could go to the opening reception to possibly see her old professors.”
